FIRST GEN CORPORATION

a. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / FINANCE MANAGER
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10001


Job Description:

•    Assumes the lead role in finance and business development activities such as financial modeling and valuation, conduct of due diligence, contract review and negotiations, creditor relations and financing, government liaison, project planning.
•    Participates in contract review together with other team members to ensure that risks to the company are eliminated, minimized or properly managed.
•    Coordinates with the relevant internal and external parties to ensure completion of projects.
•    Analyzes current and potential issues/problems that affect the company’s project(s), recommends solutions, and implements/oversees implementation of the agreed solutions to these issues and problems.

Professional Qualification:

•    CPA/CFA/Post-graduate degree in a finance-related course.
•    3-5 years experience in credit research and analysis, preferably gained from Financial Institutions or Public Rating Agencies.
•    Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, financial modeling, as well as some knowledge of credit and banking products, credit analytics, risk assessment and valuation.
•    Knowledge on the power industry is preferable.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proven ability to work independently and in teams
•    Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

b. ELECTRICAL / I&C SECTION HEAD
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10002

Job Description:

•    Develop technical capability in the different power generation, fuel and other primary energy sources, operation and maintenance of power plants, grid analysis and demand side management. 
•    Provide technical assistance to subsidiaries/affiliates in the various phases of business/project development during implementation of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts and during the Operations & Maintenance phase. 
•    Coordinates with the relevant internal and external parties to ensure completion of projects.
•    Provide expertise on identifying suitable sites for power generation projects, conceptual design of grid, cost estimation of power projects, and application of computer simulation in power plants and the grid. 
•    Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of Technical Services Department’s technical database.

Professional Qualification:

•    Licensed Electrical Engineer, preferably with Master of Science degree
•    Preferably with at least 10 years related work experience, including managing of technical manpower

c. ASSISTANT MANAGER - ACCOUNTING

Job Description:

•    Responsible for ensuring the accurate data capture and recording of the Company’s financial and tax transactions.
•    Conduct analysis of financial risks, recommends ways to mitigate such risks, and assesses its impact to the financial statements.
•    Provide accounting expertise such as identification, treatment of various accounting, audit, and financial issues/ risks, assesses its impact to the financial reports.
•    Ensure that the companies are in compliance with the applicable Accounting Standards and tax regulations.

Professional Qualification:

•    Certified Public Accountant
•    With 3 years audit experience, with exposure in accounting and tax issues

d. TRAINING AND CAREER MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR

Job Description:

•    Support the company’s objectives in developing its human resources by designing and implementing appropriate training, education and development programs for all employees. 
•    Able to conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA), design/develop, implement and evaluate training and development interventions.
 
Professional Qualification:

•    Bachelor’s Degree preferably Psychology or Behavioral Science
•    At least 2 years supervisory experience in handling the training and development function

e. TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS COORDINATOR
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10005


Job Description:

•    Assist in the development and delivery of ‘value adding’ initiatives. 
•    Help build the Company’s “brand” as an innovative energy provider and preferred business partner. 
•    Assist in the sales effort for new electricity supply contracts. 
•    Build, strengthen and maintain relationships between the Company and its strategic customers. 
•    Manage external contractors to ensure timely implementation of any value adding projects and ensures that it is within the budget.  Assist in the development of a ‘customer care’ program. 

Professional Qualification:

•    Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Management Engineering
•    At least 2 years work experience/expertise gained in own field or industry
•    Preferably with experience in sales
•    Willing to travel and work with customers
•    Ability to present confidently to a large or small audience

f. QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY (QES) SPECIALIST
    JOB CODE NO.:  HO10006


Job Description:

•    Provide input in the planning, developing, implementing and monitoring of the company’s QES programs, leading internal audits and coordinating external audits. 
•    Supervise the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of QES policies and procedures. 
•    Act as champion in the following programs:  good housekeeping or 5S, technical or QES inspection, waste management and incident management. 
•    Prepare appropriate documentation and reports.

Professional Qualification:


•    Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Environment Engineering
•    With 1 to 2 years experience in power plant maintenance
•    Excellent communication skills
•    With detailed knowledge in QESH practices
•    Knowledgeable in Risk Assessment

g. ENGINEER II – PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Job Description:

Supervise the progress of various phases of a project and works closely with other team members to meet project milestones in a timely and efficient manner.  Coordinate with relevant external parties.  Perform the following functions as may be required:

•    Procurement of Services
•    Conceptual Engineering

•    Cost-Benefit Analysis
•    Land and Right-of-Way Selection/Acquisition
•    Legal and Regulatory Compliance
•    Technical and Environmental Studies

•    With 2 years experience in related fields

h. ENGINEER II – INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL (I&C) SECTION
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10008


Job Description:


•    Assist in planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating the specifications, design, installation, and commissioning of all instrumentation and control projects and programs across all First Gen plants. 
•    Conduct or assist in supervising the testing of newly procured, installed, repaired, overhauled I&C instruments and systems to ensure its quality and reliability. 
•    Accomplish documentation/evaluation of all completed projects. 
•    Recommend improvements in work instructions/procedures related to I&C systems. 
•    Recommend option to solve I&C maintenance problems upon proper evaluation and following prudent maintenance practices and Company standards. 
•    Coordinate with other functional groups for the safe and efficient implementation of I&C activities when assigned in preventive / corrective maintenance work, semi-annual / annual preventive maintenance activities, and minor / major overhauling works.
•    Evaluate and recommend new system design or revisions for the improvement of plant operations and maintenance systems.

Professional Qualification:


•    Registered Electronics and Communications Engineer
•    At least 3 years experience in the instrumentation and control system design, installation, and/or maintenance.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills

i. ENGINEER I – MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL SECTION

Job Description:

•    Train on the principles of the different power generation technologies, the various aspects of power plant Operation and Maintenance, including conduct of non-destructive tests (NDT), fuels and other basic energy sources, demand side management, use of various computer hardware/software. 
•    Provide support to the various Business/Project Development initiatives of the company in terms of conducting research and studies, gathering and analysis of technical data, conducting of computer simulation runs. 
•    Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of technical database.

Professional Qualification:

•    Registered Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
•    At least 1-2 years experience, preferably with Project Management experience

j. FINANCIAL ANALYST
    JOB CODE NO.:  HO10010


Job Description:

•    Conducts and coordinates financial, market, operations and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and to assist business development efforts.
•    Assists in providing inputs for financial models and basic analyses to guide business decisions and enhance economic value of current and new businesses.
•    Prepares presentations to senior management and the board of directors.

Professional Qualification:


•    Comfortable in dealing with numbers and adept in writing reports.
•    Must have an understanding of corporate finance, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, budgeting, and other pro-forma statements.
•    Knowledge on the power industry is preferable.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (i.e Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

k. JR. ANALYST
    JOB CODE NO.:  HO10011


Job Description:

•    Accountable for Wholesale Electricity Spot Market trading for his own shift and provide assistance to other trading units.
•    Demonstrates strong ability to gather, organize, and analyze power industry and customer specific data.
•    Develops strong network of data/information sources.
•    Demonstrates strong ability to assess customer specific problems and the ability to gather data needed for supporting analysis.
•    Demonstrates strong ability to compile and organize requirements for Power Supply Agreement applications.  Ensures that the different stages in the process of concluding a Power Agreement are met in order to efficiently achieve approval.
•    Demonstrates knowledge of various value added services.

Professional Qualification:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Bachelor’s Degree in Economics

l. ACCOUNTANT
   JOB CODE NO.:  SO10001


Job Description:

•    Check and record payables and related taxes in accordance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
•    Coordinate with proper approval of the vouchers payable.
•    Record other Company transactions such as interest income, dollar investments and employee advances in accordance with accounting and tax standards.
•    Prepare tax returns and other needed attachments, coordinates approval of the tax returns and ensures timely submission of tax returns and payment of taxes in compliance with the BIR regulations.
•    Prepare schedules an analysis in support to the financial statements and tax reports.

The position will be assigned in Batangas City.

Professional Qualification:

•    Degree in Accountancy
•    Certified Public Accountant
•    With 1-2 years audit experience in handling accounts payable and tax requirements
