FIRST GEN CORPORATION

a. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / FINANCE MANAGER
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10001


Job Description:

•    Assumes the lead role in finance and business development activities such as financial modeling and valuation, conduct of due diligence, contract review and negotiations, creditor relations and financing, government liaison, project planning
•    Participates in contract review together with other team members to ensure that risks to the company are eliminated, minimized or properly managed.
•    Coordinates with the relevant internal and external parties to ensure completion of projects
•    Analyzes current and potential issues/problems that affect the company’s project(s), recommends solutions, and implements/oversees implementation of the agreed solutions to these issues and problems

Professional Qualification:

•    CPA/CFA/Post-graduate degree in a finance-related course.
•    3-5 years experience in credit research and analysis, preferably gained from Financial Institutions or Public Rating Agencies.
•    Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, financial modeling, as well as some knowledge of credit and banking products, credit analytics, risk assessment and valuation.
•    Knowledge on the power industry is preferable.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proven ability to work independently and in teams
•    Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

 

b. ELECTRICAL / I&C SECTION HEAD
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10002


Job Description:

•    Develop technical capability in the different power generation, fuel and other primary energy sources, operation and maintenance of power plants, grid analysis and demand side management. 
•    Provide technical assistance to subsidiaries/affiliates in the various phases of business/project development during implementation of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts and during the Operations & Maintenance phase. 
•    Coordinates with the relevant internal and external parties to ensure completion of projects.
•    Provide expertise on identifying suitable sites for power generation projects, conceptual design of grid, cost estimation of power projects, and application of computer simulation in power plants and the grid. 
•    Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of Technical Services Department’s technical database.

Professional Qualification:

•    Licensed Electrical Engineer, preferably with Master of Science degree
•    Preferably with at least 10 years related work experience, including managing of technical manpower


c. MANAGER – POWER MARKETING
    JOB CODE NO.:  HO10015


Job Description:

•    Provides Power Market analysis and make routine reports on customer consumption and other data points in the power industry.
•    Leads in developing efficient customer coordination and complaint system.
•    Makes monthly billing reports with analysis of increase/decrease of WESM sales and/or purchases.
•    Assists in building and/or build a billing and settlement checking model.
•    Checks accuracy and precision of monthly bills and leads review of its consistency to contract provisions.

Professional Qualification:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, BS Economics or any Business related course
•    4 years experience as Marketing and/or Sales Manager


d. ASSISTANT MANAGER - ACCOUNTING
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10003


Job Description:

•    Responsible for ensuring the accurate data capture and recording of the Company’s financial and tax transactions.
•    Conduct analysis of financial risks, recommends ways to mitigate such risks, and assesses its impact to the financial statements.
•    Provide accounting expertise such as identification, treatment of various accounting, audit, and financial issues/ risks, assesses its impact to the financial reports.
•    Ensure that the companies are in compliance with the applicable Accounting Standards and tax regulations.

Professional Qualification:

•    Certified Public Accountant
•    With 3 years audit experience, with exposure in accounting and tax issues
   

e. TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS COORDINATOR
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10005


Job Description:

•    Assist in the development and delivery of ‘value adding’ initiatives. 
•    Help build the Company’s “brand” as an innovative energy provider and preferred business partner. 
•    Assist in the sales effort for new electricity supply contracts. 
•    Build, strengthen and maintain relationships between the Company and its strategic customers. 
•    Manage external contractors to ensure timely implementation of any value adding projects and ensures that it is within the budget.  Assist in the development of a ‘customer care’ program. 

Professional Qualification:

•    Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Management Engineering
•    At least 2 years work experience/expertise gained in own field or industry
•    Preferably with experience in sales
•    Willing to travel and work with customers
•    Ability to present confidently to a large or small audience


f. SAFETY SPECIALIST
    JOB CODE NO.:  HO10006


Job Description:

•    Develop and establish a suite of Health and Safety management systems which establishes a corporate approach and meet individual site requirements.
•    Promotes Safety and Health programs, monitors program implementation and recommends improvement.
•    Plans, conducts, and implements Safety and Health related orientation, training and drills to employees.
•    Review, develop and implement the Company’s crisis management plans, including periodic testing and review.
•    Facilitate management audits and review of the Company and its subsidiaries/affiliates in relation to Safety and Health Management.  Conducts Safety and Health audit to subsidiaries/affiliates.
•    Develops a team of auditors to achieve progressive improvements of the company’s Safety and Health performance.
•    Coordinate with government agencies to ensure compliance of all Company sites with regulatory requirements.
•    Prepare appropriate documentation and reports.

Professional Qualification:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Environment Engineering
•    With at least 10 years experience within the power generation or similar industry, of which 5 years should be in an operational and/or safety management position
•    With detailed knowledge in Safety practices
•    Knowledgeable in Risk Assessment


g. ENGINEER II – INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL (I&C) SECTION
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10008


Job Description:

•    Assist in planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating the specifications, design, installation, and commissioning of all instrumentation and control projects and programs across all First Gen plants. 
•    Conduct or assist in supervising the testing of newly procured, installed, repaired, overhauled I&C instruments and systems to ensure its quality and reliability. 
•    Accomplish documentation/evaluation of all completed projects. 
•    Recommend improvements in work instructions/procedures related to I&C systems. 
•    Recommend option to solve I&C maintenance problems upon proper evaluation and following prudent maintenance practices and Company standards. 
•    Coordinate with other functional groups for the safe and efficient implementation of I&C activities when assigned in preventive / corrective maintenance work, semi-annual / annual preventive maintenance activities, and minor / major overhauling works.
•    Evaluate and recommend new system design or revisions for the improvement of plant operations and maintenance systems.

Professional Qualification:

•    Registered Electronics and Communications Engineer
•    At least 3 years experience in the instrumentation and control system design, installation, and/or maintenance.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills


h. FINANCIAL ANALYST
     JOB CODE NO.:  HO10010


Job Description:

•    Conducts and coordinates financial, market, operations and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and to assist business development efforts.
•    Assists in providing inputs for financial models and basic analyses to guide business decisions and enhance economic value of current and new businesses.
•    Prepares presentations to senior management and the board of directors.

Professional Qualification:

•    Comfortable in dealing with numbers and adept in writing reports.
•    Must have an understanding of corporate finance, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, budgeting, and other pro-forma statements.
•    Knowledge on the power industry is preferable.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (i.e Excel, Word, Powerpoint)


i. DOCUMENT CONTROL STAFF (CONTRACTUAL)
   JOB CODE NO.:  HO10014


Job Description:

•    Handle the receiving of turned over archived documents for storage.
•    Verify turned over documents for archiving in the storage area or in the external warehousing provider by checking the physical copies against the turnover sheets prior to acknowledging and proper labeling.
•    Classify and index the turned over archived documents for posting after it has been received, checked, sorted and scanned.
•    Handle the request of new, returned and the retrieval of lane boxes in the external warehousing provider.
•    Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for the status of turned over boxes in the storage areas.
•    Conduct periodic document inventory in the storage areas.
•    Monitor incoming and outgoing archived documents in the storage area.
•    Catalog the library materials from different departments.

Professional Qualification:

•    Bachelor’s Degree of Information Technology/Library Science or any other relevant field
•    Minimum 2 years experience in document management
•    Knowledgeable in document filing, catalogue system and maintenance
•    Meticulous and has a keen sense for details


j. MECHANICAL SECTION HEAD
    JOB CODE NO.:  PM10001


Job Description:

•    Plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the mechanical maintenance programs and activities.
•    Ensure that all logistic requirements for mechanical maintenance programs are available.
•    Regularly review existing mechanical maintenance programs and update work instructions/procedures accordingly.
•    Prepare regular reports for all mechanical maintenance programs and activities. Gather data, conduct in-depth failure analysis and recommend improvements on the mechanical maintenance programs.
•    Develop short, medium and long- term mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling.
•    Make timely decisions on mechanical maintenance problems upon proper evaluation and following prudent maintenance practices and Company standards.
•    Coordinate with other functional groups for the safe and efficient implementation of preventive / corrective maintenance work orders, semi-annual / annual preventive maintenance activities, and minor / major overhauling works.
•    Supervise the testing of newly procured, installed, repaired, overhauled plant mechanical/electrical equipment facilities to ensure its quality and reliability.

The position will be assigned in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.

Professional Qualification:

•    Registered Mechanical Engineer
•    5  years supervisory capacity in an industrial plant
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills


k. COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST
     JOB CODE NO.:  PM10002


Job Description:

•    Assist in the implementation of ComRel related projects and programs.
•    Assist and coordinates with internal and/or with the community in the data-gathering to support community-based project proposals.
•    Assist in the coordination with other departments when conducting community projects.
•    Provides technical and administrative assistance to ComRel Department in the implementation of community-based-projects.
•    Assist in the preparation of reports and presentation materials as required.
   
The position will be assigned in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.

Professional Qualification:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in any Business related course
•    With at least 1 year experience in community relations
