FG Bukidnon Power Corporation

First Gen won the bidding for the 1.6-MW Agusan mini-hydro plant when it was auctioned by PSALM in June 2004. It was officially turned over in March 2005. Eventually, the asset was transferred to FG Bukidnon, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Gen Renewables, Inc.

Commissioned and constructed by NPC in 1957, the Agusan mini-hydro plant is located in Damilag, Manolo, Fortich,  Bukidnon in Mindanao (southern Philippines), 36 kilometers southeast of Cagayan de Oro City. The run-of-river plant covers a land area of about 14 hectares and consists of two 800-kW turbine generators that use water from the Agusan River  through a six-kilometer headrace and a 2.83-hectare forebay to generate electricity. FG Bukidnon sells all electricity output from its mini-hydro plant to the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company, Inc. (CEPALCO), through a Power Supply Agreement (PSA). Approved by the ERC on November 16, 2009,  the PSA is effective until March 2025.
